Scarlette had started sobbing and the most she could get out was a whisper. "It wasn't me..." She collapsed to her knees and just sat there weeping.

Scarlette cringed in fear but she still didn't look at him or quit crying. Her sobs were growing longer and her breathing made more difficult.

Scarlette still didn't answer. She allowed herself to fully collapse onto the ground and stared at Rios' feet as tears rolled down her cheek. Her sobbing had stopped, but she still wasn't allowing any air to flow to her lungs.

Scarlette closed her eyes and tried to ignore everything, wishing this all just a dream and that she could wake up the next morning by herself and get a chance to fix everything before Rios really returned.
